Back With No Particular Vengeance

"Make sure you get one of my many good sides."

Freedom Corps once had a dossier on Crypto Kazam, detailing the tactical dangers and robotic firepower the subject had at his disposal. Many great warriors fell at his feet, and even more Longbow troops were sent back the way they came. Crypto Kazam's legacy is one of tireless aggression and calm demeanor, and heroes and villains all over the world had to tread lightly should they choose to step in on his territory. No one expected his defeat would come, let alone in the manner that it did: he was single-handedly brought down by an unarmed woman and incapacitated. He was subsequently dragged off by a large number of his many enemies and presumed dead thereafter. According to those who killed him, that presumption was correct.

Even less expected than Crypto Kazam's defeat at the hands of a researcher in a lab coat was his reappearance. No one would have thought that he would eventually conquer the bit bucket, but it's all too often forgotten that his powers are magical, which gave him the edge he needed to beat his way back through to this world with strength anew.

Where one approach fails, it must be discarded and replaced with something new. Crypto Kazam's legion of robotic warriors was shut down at the time he was sent off to the afterlife, and upon return, it stayed that way. While his many drones and metal soldiers served him well in the past, Crypto Kazam opted to address his weaknesses from a different perspective. His previous methodology was to enshroud himself in force fields and distract the enemy while his robots did the dirty work, but toxic concoctions on that fateful day penetrated his defenses and ultimately led to his demise. Rather than risk the same happening again, Crypto Kazam got to work modifying and upgrading the capabilities of his automatons into a new type of danger to introduce to the battle field.

The result is a new combat suit made from the same technologies (and magics) that drove his robotic army. The Pulse Rifle he was using has been ludicrously upgraded as well, and it is now his primary source of offensive negotiation. Auxiliary functions from the robots have been incorporated into the suit's design, and a disintegration ray makes Crypto Kazam more dangerous than ever. No one's sure where he is for the time being, but what we do know is that when Crypto Kazam makes himself known once again, it will be with a very big bang.
