Since I love to play both City of Heroes and City of Villains, I thought that I would help out filling some of the missing information in the wiki. I am usually on the Guardian server when I am not working on artwork or college.

Heroes

Kristof Van Dread was a regular college student till he was abducted by his own half-brother, Doctor Victor Van Dread, and used for an illegal experiment that rewrote his genetic code as well as amplified a power he did not know he possessed. Kristof was horrified at the dead bodies of fellow classmates from his college that failed to survive the transformations caused by the serum Victor created as well as the plans his brother now had for taking over the world with an army of super powered soldiers. When a Longbow agent along with Paragon Police carried out a raid on his brothers secret lab, Victor injected himself with a modified form of the serum that transformed his body and gave him powers identical to Kristof. Bound to a lab table, Kristof was frozen with fear as he watched his brother wound and kill the police along with the Longbow agent.

During the struggle, Kristof discovered that the Longbow agent was actually his mother, and the sight of her dying body enraged him to the point the was able to break free. Taking her enchanted impervium katana up she set into a volley of strikes against his half-brother that resulted in the loss of Victors right eye and his eventual capture. Heart broken by the turn of events his life had taken Kristof sought solace in his mothers homeland of Japan where his grandfather encouraged him to continue the work that was started by his mother. Returning to Paragon City, Kristof used the designation that his brother had given him of Core unit X-10N to fashion a new identity as a hero.

His continued battles against evil, along with his skills as a swords man and luck, have caused some to call him a "Demon with the blade" or "Crazy" from battling a room filled with Council soldiers after haphazardly stumbling into them. His commitment to the Defenders of the Realm eventually earned him the honor of becoming the second in command of the group, an honor he does not take lightly as he carries out his duties in trying to keep the base stores well stocked and aiding its new members.
