Influence Cap?

Is there an influence Cap? If so, what is it? Stab594 11:35, 31 January 2007 (PST)

I don't think there's an Influence/Infamy cap. They have a badge for 1billion inf, and if you never spent any inf, you'd have 1bil inf when you got it. Maybe there's a ridiculouly high inventory cap, like 1 trillion or something. --Konoko 11:57, 31 January 2007 (PST)
o.o I've never heard of anyone going over 50mill at one time. I have something like 25mill on my lvl 34 blaster though.. it doesn't seem like there's a cap, but if there is, its astronomically high. --Sleepy Kitty 16:45, 31 January 2007 (PST)

Issue 9 Changes

I've been kind of out of the loop for the past month or so. Are there any changes coming with Issue 9 concerning Influence? cap change perhaps? I assume you buy/sell Inventions using Influence/Infamy. - Snorii 07:01, 5 April 2007 (PDT)

Yep. You do. Wentworths makes cross server Influence Transfers quite possible. (But I really need to update that page now that we have open testing info.) The trade window on Live allows up to 7 digits, but errors if you try to trade more than 5 digits still. I have not checked on Test to see if it still errors. - Sister Leortha 07:13, 5 April 2007 (PDT)

Rewrite

I think this section (and related sections) will have to have a complete re-write shortly (since, with I18/Going Rogue, all currency ["inf"] is being basically merged and will be allowed to cross factions for the first time), but for now I'm going to remove the sentence specifying that inf is used to change one's difficulty -- this was removed when the advanced difficulty settings went into effect some time back. --EricNelson 00:29, 27 July 2010 (UTC)

In anticipation of this, I've merged the two articles into a single article and discarded the template-based approach that I'd introduced back in '07. I'm not sure that "Influence and Infamy" is the perfect title since I think Praetoria will introduce a third currency. With I18, either we'll need to rename this to "Influence, Infamy, and Inf______" or we'll need to rename it to Inf (and clobber its existing article). -- Sekoia 17:24, 27 July 2010 (UTC)
Somewhere, I don't remember where, it was said that influence, infamy, and information (assuming that's the Praetorian currency) will be relabled as simply "inf" on the ID screen. So it'd make more sense to put it at inf, and redirect influence, infamy, and information to inf. ~ AGGE talk/cons 18:28, 27 July 2010 (UTC)
Went ahead and amended the article for I18. I agree that this article should be titled "Inf" with the names of the three currency types pointing to it, but I didn't want to just do that. --K26dp 22:11, 14 August 2010 (UTC)
