Speaking of the Regulators... The timeline says Michael White (BAB) was born in 1960. The Regulators were formed in the seventies. Going by the two dates ref'd above, he was either 12 or 19 when he founded it, and I would state with 99% certainty that Paragon City would not allow a 12 year old to found a hero squad. Perhaps we should take a second look at the dates again (''shines the Manticore symbol'') ~ {{:User:Aggelakis/Sig1}} 06:37, 13 May 2010 (UTC)

Missing Sources

Where did this information come from?

???: The Malta Knights separate from the Malta Templars.(17)

Pictures

The pictures are a nice touch. They help break up the huge amount of text. Great job on the whole thing. --GreyDog 14:20, 17 October 2007 (EDT)

The Regulators

Paragon City, 1972: Back Alley Brawler founds the Regulators. (64)
Paragon City, 28 Febrary 1979: Back Alley Brawler forms the Regulators.

Huh. The second entry is from the 4-Year calendar, the first entry is from the Scholar Badge. Anyone want to weigh in on which is "more official"? --K26dp 22:04, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

Checking the official Paragon City Backstory:
Led by the flamboyant and ever-popular Michael White (AKA the Back Alley Brawler), the Regulators had been doing their best to fight street crime in Paragon City since the early seventies.
I'd say that would fit more with 1972 than 1979. --Eabrace 22:18, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

Overhauling

I've started overhauling the page. If you hate something I've done, please comment so discussion can ensue. Rationale for a few of the changes I made:

  • I removed a lot of the images. I like having images, but they were all over the place and made the text difficult to read. Many of the images also weren't directly relevant to the history they were near. I'm planning to later go back and rework the images, adding more back in and keeping them more concretely relevant to the history they are near. I'm also planning to keep them exclusively on the right so that the flow of the text isn't interrupted.
  • I put years as headings, removed the bold face, and converted things to bullets. This removes a lot of wiki markup from the article, making the article shorter (bytewise) and easier to visually parse. The year-based headings make it easier to edit small sections, and they also help ensure that things stay well ordered. (I noticed a number of items out of sequence as I was reformatting.)

I'm planning to do a lot of work on this yet, as I have time. Among other things, I'd like to:

  • Tame the references so that they're easier to manage and easier to follow.
  • Rework images, as mentioned above.
  • Proofread and copyedit the text. Perhaps trim parts down a bit. Some spots go into a bit more depth than is necessary, even though the content is covered elsewhere.
  • Try to better link the history points to articles that go into greater depth on them. (This might also help thin out the references, since some of those references can be replaced by normal wikilinking.) I'm not sure how well this'll work though.
  • Pin down some more of those unknown dates.
  • Figure out a better way to present history items that have a non-specific date or that cover a time period.

If anyone has any suggestions on anything, please share! -- Sekoia 05:25, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
