Information

Alpha of Marauder's Top Dogs

Cocky and self-centered, Reese has good reason to throw his weight around Powers Division. Of all of Marauder's Top Dogs none have risen higher or faster than him. No other Powers Division member can match Reese's strength, skill, and cunning, a point he makes abundantly clear with the broken bodies of those who would dare challenge him.

Greeting

  • You're not dead yet?
  • Well, if it isn't Character. To what do I owe the honor? I don't actually mean honor, in case you didn't get it.
  • Surprise surprise, everyone's favorite member of Power's Division.

Rise to Power

Souvenir

Part One: Yes, I Survived

If you're going to be on my team, you'll have to earn your keep, Character.

The PPD have discovered a Resistance base down in the tunnels under the Magisterium. Got some sort of leader named Tock down there calling the shots. They wanted to go in there and bring him in, but I told 'em that we'd handle it.

You wanna prove that you're the big bad around here, right? Well, go down there and mop up that Resistance cell.

Given the plainly obvious fact that Reese doesn't like you, it's most likely the case that he's sending you straight into a trap. If the PPD were going to clean this place out, it's unlikely that it'll give you any problems. However, you'll have the benefit of walking into the situation knowing beforehand that Reese intends for you to die in these tunnels.

Sure, I'll go check it out.

Good to see you're all gung-ho about going in for this.

Here's the location where you can get inside. It shouldn't be too hard for someone like you to bring him in. I'd do it, but I've got more important things to worry about.

Unnecessary Solicitation

You're gonna do that thing, right?

Mission Objective(s)

You can smell sulfur in the air - the Resistance are making bombs down here. You'd better watch your step.

  • Defeat Tock in the Tunnels
    • Defeat Tock
    • Don't go near the Proximity Bombs

You've finished off Tock and survived all of the planted explosives. Time to go back to Reese and show him that you're still alive.

Mission Exit: You're greeted by the press of Praetoria as you step out of the tunnels. It seems someone put in a tip that you were going to disarm a highly volatile situation with the Resistance. The press ask you various questions and take some photos before rushing off to report about your latest heroics, or so they believe.

Debriefing

...hello, Character. I'm not surprised to see you alive. After all, you were all over the news, what with you disarming the bomb situation.

You know, being in Powers Division isn't about hogging fame and glory. It's serious work.

You'd better learn that or else you'll get put down real soon. But you're alive. Which is...good. It means there's more stuff you can handle while I'm out doing the important tasks at hand.

I'm tired of us talking face to face. Take this so we don't need to do this anymore.

Part Two: The Life and Times of You

Do you know why we're here, Character? It's because the Resistance thinks that the subway and the tunnels under Nova Praetoria are safe.

Warrant reports that he got a confession from a Resistance fighter about where they're meeting. Now, Warrant said he was gonna go handle this meeting on his own, but I think you should be the one to go down there and take care of business.

Go speak with him and tell him that the higher ups in the Powers Division are telling him to allow you to handle this. Pretty nice of me, isn't it?

You're practically a saint.

Don't get smart with me, Character. Just go see what Warrant has and take care of whatever it is.

Unnecessary Solicitation

Warrant is a busy man, don't keep him waiting.

Mission Objective(s)

  • Talk to Warrant

Mission Objective(s)

The Resistance seem to be slipping if they think they can keep supplies on the surface. It should be simple enough to beat them all down - then show off your victory to make Reese look like a fool.

  • Take out the Resistance Gathering
    • 3 Supply Crates Remain

You destroyed the Resistance supply cache!

Mission Exit: You step out of the warehouse to see a small squad of reporters waiting to get your photo. Amongst all of their questions, one stands out - 'What are you thoughts on Praetor White ordering an Induction Ceremony?'

Unnecessary Solicitation

The Resistance aren't going to wait for you down in the tunnels forever, get a move on.

Character.

I tell you this isn't about fame and glory, and what do you do? You hog both, and now I'm being ordered by Praetor White to set up an induction ceremony for you?! I swear, this is the most ridiculous thing ever.

You don't even do anything!

Well, if it's a ceremony that the big boss wants, it's a ceremony that he'll get.

Part Three: A Spectacle for the Crowd

I've been told to tell you what exactly the Induction Ceremony is.

It's not easy rising to power and fame - power in the division.

When someone catches our eye, we run 'em through a series of fights with our toughest members.

I don't need to participate in it anymore, of course. They ruled it unfair after I kept wiping the floor with all of our inductees.

White ordered me to set one up, so I set one up.

On the off chance you make it through this, White is putting you on par with me. You're not better than me, mind you, just on the same level. On paper.

Right, on paper. So who's up first?

Your first, and last opponent, is going to be Stern. If Stern is having an off day and somehow you win, you're fighting that little pal of yours, Warrant.

You'll probably beat Warrant since he's a little...

Ahem. If you past Warrant, we have the final rounds taking place in the heart of the Magisterium.

I kind of hope you make it that far - at least then everyone will see how you're full of hot air when you fall down in the shadow of Cole's tower.

Unnecessary Solicitation

Stern is your first opponent, you can find him over at the C.M.F.

Mission Objective(s)

You can hear the sound of Clockwork gathered. Stern must have summoned them all here to the fight.

  • Fight Stern
    • Defeat Stern

You defeated Stern!

Enemies

Mission Objective(s)

You feel the wind blow against your face as you step onto the PPD roof.

  • Fight Warrant
    • Defeat Warrant

You have defeated Warrant.

Enemies

Unnecessary Solicitation

Warrant is your next opponent.

Mission Objective(s)

You can hear the loud roar of the crowd up ahead - it looks like this fight has gotten quite a bit of attention.

  • Attend the Final Round in Magisterium
    • Defeat Riptide

You've wiped the floor with all the members of the Powers Division!

Enemies

....

Well, you know something, Kaisan. Maybe you're not all that bad.

You fought better than I expected out there. Maybe now all the other members of Powers Division will start to pick up some slack and actual work to improve themselves - like me.
