Hologram of General Aarons

Alignment Mission

While wandering around, a hologram of General Aarons appears in front of you. It seems like there's a small projector on the ground that was triggered by your presence.

Character. ...Character? I told Blast Furnace to come to this location... not what I was expecting, but it'll have to do. I'm aware of your status as a sword for hire, but in this situation, you're the only person who can help.

Vanguard has been given authority to utilize some of Longbow's sea bases for storage. I was at one for a meeting when we were attacked by Cole's soldiers, the Imperial Defense Force. I've managed to keep myself hidden, but their forces will capture me at any moment. The Praetorians are ransacking this base for any information Vanguard has on them. If they manage to get their hands on both me and the information, it could spell disaster for the war effort against the Praetorians: they will find out about the numerous Vanguard operatives taht are currently undercover in Praetoria. Here is the location of the base. You're the only person who can get in here quick enough and give us a hand.

Please, Character, put aside your desire for money to help our world against Tyrant. Or, at the very least, to protect the lives of those men and women working for Vanguard in Praetoria.

The hologram of General Aarons vanishes, leaving you with a decision. Yet again, someone is asking you to do something for free. It must be the general vibe of Paragon, given how all these heroes run around without asking a cent for their help. However, it seems like this is a serious threat that needs to be handled. If Emperor Cole manages to get that information, it could mean that a lot of lives will be lost over there in Praetoria. Not to mention how difficult it would be to make an 'honest' living if the entire world is turned into a police state.

HERO: Save General Aarons and Vanguard!

The Praetorians must've gotten the drop in Vanguard if they managed to take one of their bases. Vanguard soldiers are known for being very tough in a fight, given the experience they have fighting of the Rikti.

It might be a bit of a fight, you versus Emperor Cole's Imperial Defense Force, but at least it'll mean you can still continue to work safely in the future.

  • Save General Aarons and Vanguard

You're able to pull up the location of the base without too much difficulty. This time, the Praetorians will be the ones getting the surprise ambush.

Unnecessary Solicitation

General Aarons has precious little time, you have to hurry!

Mission Objective(s)

You spotted some knocked out Vanguard soldiers as you walked in. The IDF are here in force. You'll have to access a Vanguard computer to try to get a hold of the situation.

  • Rescue General Aarons from the IDF
    • Access the Vanguard Computer
    • Defeat the IDF Commander
    • Recover the data on the Vanguard Operatives
    • Defeat the next IDF Commander
    • Rescue General Aarons
    • Get General Aarons Out

You prevented the IDF from recovering the Vanguard intel and saved General Aarons!

Debriefing

General Aarons gives you a salute before walking off.

He doesn't seem to be a man to mince words, but at least the job is done. Well, it wasn't really so much a job as it was a rescue operation. How many more of these can you do? Or, is this something you might actually enjoy doing?
