Version

Grrrr, I simply can't figure out why this is not the version that is being shown... it is the one I intended with the Icon for the Wiki the proper size... :( — Pill-37.png Talk · Cont 14:13, 10 July 2012 (UTC)

That's wacky, I tried reverting to get the right version to show and it worked funky for me too. :/ -- Sekoia 14:38, 10 July 2012 (UTC)

Guy's Version

While my icon doesn't scream the control aspect of the set, it does highlight perhaps the most visually distinct aspect of the power set... While Guy's seem to highlight an effect that doesn't exist at all: Imps casting binds onto a floating target wreathed in flame. It does say control, but it doesn't actual strike many visual accords with the set in my eye. Thoughts? — Pill-37.png Talk · Cont 22:43, 10 July 2012 (UTC)

I'm not a huge fan of either version. :) Thirty7's looks like a bunch of miscolored Rikti monkeys, there's no fire/flame, and there's no indication of control. Nothing about that says "Fire Control" to me. In Guy's version, the imps look kinda wacky to me, and the method of control employed does not correspond to anything actually in game. That looks like a hold, but Fire Control's hold uses soot to choke a person, it doesn't tie them up in fire. If you dropped the upper binding, then it could roughly correspond to Ring of Fire, but even there the ring of fire is on the ground, not on the person. I think I like Guy's better (ignoring the imps), especially as it's more in the style of the official icons, but I don't think it's a good portrayal of Fire Control. -- Sekoia 15:18, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
I agree that neither version is perfect for representing Fire Control. I do think the imps should be pictured, but the first version looked too much like a psychedelic Argyle pattern rather than three separate entities. The second version misrepresents what the set's powers actually do. How about having just one smaller imp (about 1/2 of the space) with a person in the background, arm to his throat (as if choking), surrounded by a cloud of smoke, and maybe a ring of fire around his feet? I'm working on a new one, in light of this conversation. (-:

Seems more "drawn" than abstract, if the Necromancy one is an indication of the direction. — Pill-37.png Talk · Cont 20:30, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
Abstract in the sense that it consists of generic shapes rather than trying to look like anything in particular. The next version is ready. --GuyPerfect 00:26, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
