Patrol XP shown in light blue

When logged out in any location that is not associated with any other day job, villains are considered "on patrol." While on patrol, villains accumulate credit toward patrol XP. This patrol XP is displayed in the status window's XP bar as light blue. Patrol XP is not the same as earned XP and does not count toward your threat level. While patrol XP is present, any XP earned by a character is multiplied by 1.5 and replaces the patrol XP in the status window. When all patrol XP has been worked off, the character's rate of earning XP will return to normal.

The Criminal badge is earned by working off 30 bars worth of patrol XP. (NOTE: Level 50 characters earn this badge by spending time logged off.)

While working toward the Criminal badge, characters accumulate patrol XP at a rate of approximately .1 bar every 2.5 hours up to a maximum of 10 bars (need verification).

After earning the Criminal badge, characters will accumulate patrol XP at a rate of approximately .1 bar every 2.0 hours up to a maximum of 10 bars (need verification).
