Powers?

I know this is it's own article outlining a VERY useful piece of equipment in the fight against the alien scum, but shouldn't we put the powers on the Vanguard page? We will ultimately have for the Vanguard Wizard, Vanguard Soldier, Vanguard Sergeant and the linke, so it makes sense to make the powers as part of the faction page like every other group... -- Kalon 19:11, 31 July 2007 (EDT)

Yes, the current standard is to list powers on the faction page rather than their individual page. I'm pretty sure this has been discussed on the forums, I'll see if I can find it. - Snorii 21:17, 31 July 2007 (EDT)
I remember discussing it in the forums, and in the conversation I have in mind, it was decided that having a See Also for powers was inapproperiate. To that end, I have moved some powers from enemy group pages and DPL'd them back over from the entity's main article. --GuyPerfect 00:28, 1 August 2007 (EDT)

Power DPL's

Just a heads-up, somewhat relating to the above discussion, Sekoia mentioned in that thread that the Dynamic Page List extension can be used to copy over a mere section of a larger article, and that if enemy articles had the powers listed (for completeness), they can be referenced with a teeny little DPL call into the enemy group page. That way also, if anything needs to be changed, it will be changed both places simultaneously.

So basically, you can type this:

{{#dpl:title=Vanguard HVAS|includepage=#Powers}}

And it will show up as this:
{{#dpl:title=Vanguard HVAS|includepage=#Powers}}

The above is outdated. The preferred syntax is now: {{#lsth:Vanguard HVAS|Powers}}. It will render as shown below. -- Sekoia 08:04, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
